Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 1, 2026 · Français

These terms apply to anyone who uses Bar laitier, a web application for managing dairy bars, offered by subscription at barlaitier.com. It is operated by Les Logiciels Vinity inc. (“we”). By using the application, you accept these terms. Our privacy policy, in French, explains what we do with your personal information.

1. The service

The application helps a dairy bar manage its inventory, orders, equipment, maintenance routines, schedules and records. It is a website: it needs an Internet connection.

2. Your account

  • The owner of a dairy bar creates the accounts of its staff and chooses the role of each person.
  • Your account is personal. Keep your password to yourself, and write to us without delay if someone else may have used it.
  • The owner answers for the way their team uses the application.

3. The subscription

The price and the length of the subscription are those agreed with the owner. When the subscription ends, the dairy bar is deactivated, then deleted 30 days later, with all its data. Before that date, the owner prints or exports what they must keep, such as the record of hours worked.

4. Your data

The data you enter remains that of your dairy bar. We use it only to run the application, as the privacy policy describes. You are responsible for its accuracy.

5. Text messages

Bar laitier sends text messages to the people who turn them on, in addition to e-mail. They are not offered to anyone under 14. The messages are in French.

  • What you receive: a code to confirm your number, a first welcome message, then a message when your schedule changes. Owners and managers also receive the alerts of their dairy bar: equipment out of service or not working properly, a temperature out of its range and, if they ask for them, order reminders. No message promotes anything.
  • How to sign up: in “Mon compte” (My account), on the Textos page, enter your mobile number, check the consent box, then enter the code you receive by text. Nobody else can do it for you, and nothing requires you to: the e-mail goes out either way.
  • Frequency: the number of messages varies with what happens at your dairy bar: a schedule change or an alert from time to time, and a few reminders a week if you ask for them.
  • Cost: Bar laitier charges you nothing for these messages, but message and data rates from your plan may apply.
  • To stop: reply STOP to a message, or choose “Arrêter les textos” (Stop the texts) on the Textos page. To receive them again, reply START.
  • For help: reply HELP, or write to info@vinitysoft.com.
  • Delivery: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your number: your mobile number and your consent to text messages are neither sold nor shared with third parties. Twilio and the carriers receive only the number, to deliver your messages.

6. What you must not do

You must not use the application against the law, try to read the data of another dairy bar, get around its security, overload it, or confirm for text messages a number that is not yours.

7. What the application does not replace

The application helps you follow the rules it knows, such as those on the work of young people and the records of the MAPAQ. It warns you, but it blocks nothing, and it replaces neither the CNESST, nor the MAPAQ, nor an advisor: the decision remains yours. Costs, margins and other calculations are estimates, only as good as the data entered.

8. Availability

We work to keep the application available, but it can stop, for instance for a few minutes during an update. An e-mail or a text message can be delayed or not arrive: do not rely on them alone to watch over equipment or your products.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses related to the application, to its interruption, or to an alert that is delayed or lost, such as lost products or missed sales.

10. End of access

The owner removes a person's access on the Usagers (Users) page. We may suspend an account or a dairy bar that does not follow these terms.

11. Changes

We publish each new version of these terms on this page, with its date, and we notify the owner of each dairy bar by e-mail.

12. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there. They are published in French and in English. If the two differ, the French version prevails.
